Why understanding how people with disabilities navigate will transform your product.

Most websites, apps, and digital documents created every day have a serious problem, they weren’t designed with all users in mind.

Behind every menu, form, or link, there are issues that directly impact how someone, regardless of their abilities, interacts with your content and uses your products.

When accessibility isn’t considered during the design or creation of a digital product, we’re leaving thousands of people behind.

People with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities — even family members who gradually lose abilities over time — encounter these digital barriers every day, preventing them from navigating normally.

The problem is, if you don’t see it, you don’t understand it. And if you don’t understand it, you ignore it.

Imagine you visit a website to buy concert tickets. Everything goes smoothly… until you reach the “Complete Purchase” button, and you can’t click it.

Or you need to download a document, fill it out, and send it back signed — but the PDF isn’t readable with a screen reader. How will you know which fields you need to complete?

Now imagine this happens to you every single day. With public websites, banks, online stores, signup forms, or job portals.

This is the daily reality for millions of people.

And it’s not just unfair — it’s preventable. And soon, it will be mandatory.

Starting in June 2025, a new law will require all digital products to meet accessibility standards.

Failing to comply could mean hefty fines, a damaged online reputation, and lost customers and opportunities.

The question isn’t whether it will affect you. It’s how it will affect you.

If you work with digital products — even if you only edit documents or publish content — this directly impacts you and it’s no longer optional.

That’s why, to coincide with the Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 15, we’ve put together an online session to spotlight what’s working — and what’s not.

Session Highlights

  • Date: Thursday, May 15

  • Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (GMT+2)

  • Format: Online

  • Language: Spanish
